A great moment of celebration of May 1th<\/sup> au si\u00e8ge de la SODECAO entre le personnel et le Top management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SODECAO joined the international community on May th<\/sup> 2024, to celebrate the 138th<\/sup> Edition of the International Labour Day under the theme: \u201cConstructive Social Dialogue, Vector of Decent Work and Social Progress\u201d.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At SODECAO, there were two main highlights within the framework of this celebration. The first highlight concerned the traditional march-past, at the 20th May Boulevard, presided over by the Minister of Labour and Social Security (MINTSS), Gr\u00e9goire Owona. For the occasion, SODECAO workers proudly came out in the beautiful colours of their company, hitting the pavement to the rhythm of the brass bands, with a standing ovation from the public and the many administrative authorities who came to take part in this colourful celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second phase took place at SODECAO's head office, with a number of speeches and a meal shared between the top management and the staff. In their speeches, the staff representatives thanked the General Management for the efforts made and the measures taken to enable SODECAO staff to work in good conditions, and for their personal development. The staff representatives\u2019 spokesperson took the opportunity to present a list of grievances, including the resumption of automatic promotions, the payment of the internal social debt, the revaluation of funeral expenses and the revaluation of the separation bonus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to these expectations, the General Manager first congratulated the staff for the successful organization of this year\u2019s edition, then recalled the rights and duties of the staff as well as the role of the staff representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also took the opportunity to talk about the financial difficulties facing the company, hence his appeal for greater awareness, discipline, vigilance and hard work in order to improve SODECAO's performance. Then the staff received assurance regarding the grievances expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that the good-natured atmosphere that reigned at the Head Office was the same in SODECAO's external units, as resources had been made available to them by the General Management for the celebration of the Labour Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
