SODECAO: Elections of staff delegates organized in compliance with the legal framework and the principles of transparency

The Cocoa Development Company (SODECAO) organized, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the elections of staff delegates at the headquarters and in its external units. This important social meeting took place in a generally calm, transparent and responsible atmosphere, thus reflecting the desire of the General Management and employees of SODECAO to strengthen social dialogue within the company.
The purpose of these elections was to allow workers to appoint representatives to bring their concerns to the administration, defend their rights and contribute to the improvement of working conditions. They are an essential pillar of social democracy and a key mechanism for consultation between employer and employees.

The electoral process took place in accordance with Opinion No. 064/A/SODECAO/DG/DAFF/SDAA/SP/25 of November 24, 2025, signed by the Director General of SODECAO, taken pursuant to and for the execution of Decision No. 00139/MINTSS/SG/DRP/CJ of October 2, 2025 of the Minister of Labor and Social Security. Through this act, the General Directorate ensured the legal, institutional and administrative framework of the election.

Under the impetus of the Director General, the SODECAO administration has put in place the material, organizational and administrative conditions necessary for the holding of credible elections. The electoral campaign, which ran from 29 December 2025 to 12 January 2026, took place in a peaceful atmosphere, guaranteeing equal treatment of candidates, freedom of choice for voters and respect for the rules laid down by the competent authorities.

On the day of the vote, the electoral operations were held in the company's various electoral districts, both at the headquarters and in the decentralised structures. The electoral colleges were constituted in accordance with the socio-professional categories provided for in the regulations, and the counting operations were conducted in a transparent manner, giving rise to the drawing up of minutes in accordance with the procedures in force.

All stakeholders welcomed the free, fair and transparent nature of the vote, marked by responsible participation by workers and the absence of major incidents likely to alter its sincerity. These elements testify to the effectiveness of the system put in place by the General Management and the maturity of the social dialogue within the company.

At the end of the process, the General Management of SODECAO reaffirmed its availability to work in close collaboration with the staff delegates who will be confirmed after this electoral process, in a spirit of permanent consultation and mutual respect. She also recalled that employee representation is an essential pillar of internal governance and an instrument for the prevention of social conflicts.
Through the successful organization of these elections, SODECAO, under the leadership of its Director General, confirms its commitment to the respect of workers' rights and the promotion of participatory social governance, a guarantee of stability and sustainable development of the company.
