Handing over of a watering system in Bafia

Water is life! Plants need it too. SODECAO loses an average of 40-60% seedlings in its nurseries due to drought, caused by climate change. Providing water is therefore the solution to this problème. This is what emerged from the speech by the General Manager of SODECAO during the inauguration ceremony of the watering device, yesterday 06 September, 2023 at the SODECAO Sector in Bafia, accompanied by the Senior Divisional Office of the locality.

He was keen to point out that this watering device is part of the modernization of the nurseries, as a few years ago the watering of plants was done in an archaic manner. This device will ensure the production of quality plant material. The quantity of seedlings planned for the 2023-2024 season stands at 100 000 plants.This device will substantially increase the supply of cocoa seedlings and boost national cocoa production. The S.D.O thanked SODECAO for the implemented project and promised to ensure that it is put to good use.
