SODECAO-PADI-Dja Partnership: the project reached completion in Meyomessi

September 19, 2024, marked the provisional handover of Meyomessi's completed project as SODECAO's General Manager, leading a high-level delegation, verified compliance with the 000001/M/PADI-Dja/CSPM/2022 contract, in the Dja and Lobo Division (South Region).

Indeed, this is phase 2 which expands on the achievements of Phase 1(2021). It involves five strategic axes: rehabilitation of 10 hectares of SODECAO demonstration fields, rehabilitation of 10 plantation hectares developed by Nat Engineering, creation of 3 additional hectares of production fields, capacity building for EZATOM Cooperative members and the development of access roads for efficient exploitation.  

The General Manager of SODECAO expressed deep satisfaction and lauded PADI-Dja and EZATOM's accomplishments. He promised EZATOM Cooperative that SODECAO would always support them. He emphasized that: “This partnership will establish us as key stakeholders in Cameroon's cocoa industry”.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of high-ranking administrative officials of that locality, including the S.D.O’s representative, the D.O and the Mayor, demonstrating their endorsement of EZATOM’s cocoa development initiative, in the South Region of Cameroon.

The GM, alongside the PADI-Dja Project Coordinator and EZATOM Cooperative officials, endorsed the project phase's completion by signing the reception protocol.

Being a key cocoa-producing hub in Cameroon, ranked among the world's top producers, the South Region now benefits from a strategic project for the cocoa sector development. EZATOM's project spearheads a strategic drive for cocoa sector growth, stimulating local economic development.

The ceremony drew to a close in a lively and cordial atmosphere.
